Brie and Me
This is Brie #2. She was called “Hope” when we saw her at the NHSPCA facility in May, 2007. She has filled a very large void in our lives since we sent our beloved pet terrier home to the Lord earlier in February the same year. Brie #1 was thirteen years old.
At this time I was anticipating retiring for the very fourth time, so I decided to enroll in a volunteer hospice program September 2007 in lieu of other organizations.
I felt I needed to support my need to comfort, offer friendship, ease some stress and anxiety to those who were reaching and completing their ”Circle of Life”.
With this education of hospice training, it allowed Brie and me to help bring smiles to those unfortunate people who call the nursing home their “home away from home”.

Brie #2 is a Pomerian/Spitz mix and has not only made us happy, she also brings much joy and happiness to those whom we visit in nursing homes, rehabilitation centers, clients of assisted living facilities and most of all to my very special hospice clients.
Both Brie and her advocate Sheila, have been trained, evaluated and certified as a Pet Therapy Team by the International Delta Society.
