Judith KimballI left Massachusetts for New Hampshire in my 20s and was sure I would never live anywhere else. But the day after retiring from the Special Education/Vocational Departments at Pinkerton Academy, Derry, NH in June 2004, I moved to Knoxville, TN. Being in the south was an adventure, especially for a born and bred northerner, and one that lasted three years.I returned to New England in April 2007 and settled at Meeting House Village, South Campus in Kittery, just a few miles from three of my children and my three grandchildren. East Tennessee was beautiful with its mountains, lakes and rivers, flowers and trees in full bloom by April — but it wasn't home! |
